Run For Your Life!

A 2 hour experience that will stay with you for a lifetime.
Sept. 13, 14, 15 or 16, 2019 (2 hours per session)

The time has come – you have 30 minutes to pack and leave your home never to return…

Run For Your Life is an interactive event that engages groups physically and emotionally in the refugee journey and the challenges they face as they flee for their lives. The simulation is hands-on and recreates, on a small scale, aspects of a refugee’s experience, including boats, tents, sound effects and border security situations.

Share the refugee experience through a simulation that is part game, part escape room, part team building. Each group has a unique experience – where will the journey take YOU? This 2 hour “mini-retreat” will stay with you for a lifetime.

Our world is on the move…
• 70.8 million displaced people around the globe
• 37,000 new refugees each day

Games help people understand phenomena which are complex and far removed from their everyday lives. A game allows participants to experience emotions in a very personal and lasting manner, but on a smaller scale than real life. For more details go to our FAQs page.

“We could not have found a better way to educate our parishioners than the Run For Your Life refugee simulation. It helped us go beyond what we hear through different news sources.  It allowed us to focus on the humanitarian crisis facing people all over the world who are escaping war, violence, and persecution.”

– Mary Freeman, Director of Community Outreach, St. Francis Xavier Parish
